This is a very comprehensive book, covers many topics and does a good job doing so, it comes with a helpful cd-rom, and a compatible work book is available for this book.

mr. mazur was a teacher of mine in college. we used this book in his class many years ago (first edition). i use this book today (fourth edition) to train fresh graduate engineers on basic motor controls in my company. we read a chapter per week and do the associated examples in the work book. this is an excellent book and well worth the money.
