Book Review: Psychopath Free by "Peace"
Literary works about psychopaths, narcissists and sociopaths are on the rise. In my opinion, the more information that we have in educating the general public about the disordered, the merrier. I have found in my recovery, that reading just one work does not quite encompass all that a psychopath is and the many masks worn via the personas the present to their victims and to those outside their `intimate' relationships.
Two years ago, after my relationship with the last psychopath was over, I began a facebook page. It grew pretty quickly over a period of just a few months. It started the page for catharsis, however it was the beginning of the journey in which i would meet many, many more people who had endured similar experiences with psychopaths and a few would become some of my dearest friends.
One of these friends is nothing less than inspiring to me. His ability to make the most of a really horrifying situation and turn it around to make a better life for himself, and make meaning from it in helping others through survivor support, utilizing his astounding empathic gifts, is a never ending source of what it means to possess true self and agape love.
Our recovery work is never over, as we continue to grow and learn after these experiences, but my friend has taken his recovery and filled it with hope through the pages of a new book he has just released, as well as a recovery support site called, "PsychopathFree Forum" that he shares with other survivors, providing their wisdom and insights to those just beginning their journey on the road to recovery.
